Statement of Solidarity with the Black Struggle in the U.S. and the World
To Black communities across the U.S. and the World, To all those who struggle for Black lives, Eagle and the Condor Liberation Front, as an autonomous, Indigenous intertribal organization from Los Angeles, California, stands in solidarity with the Black freedom struggle that is in mobilized rebellion at this very moment. The self-organization of this struggle across the settler state of the United States demonstrates the dignified rage against not only police brutality but also the system of death against Black people everywhere. We condemn global anti-Black racism across the Americas, especially at this moment in the United States where the police as a structure of social oppression, that protects private property and white supremacy, antagonizes Black working-class communities. From the historical plantation to the modern-day prison, the wealth of this settler capitalist state is the wealth built through Indigenous land dispossession and Black African slavery. Justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Nina Pop, and all Black lives who have been murdered by the police means more than arresting their state-sanctioned killers. It means defunding, divesting, and destroying the structure of police enforcement. It means the abolition of the police state and its connected apparatuses that target and destroy Communities of Color, most proportionately Black people, here and everywhere. It means a material and ideological struggle against the settler institutions built by Europe and their descendants on this continent. It means holding accountable the entire United States for its state-sponsored terror against Black lives. We wholeheartedly support the Black rebellion against the settler state. May the burnt ashes of precincts, corporate buildings, and police vehicles call onto United States civil society to unthink and undo their anti-Black structures of power that continue to seek death. Property damage is incommensurable with Black death. Another world is possible—a world where many worlds fit—where Black life and joy thrive. We are for planetary Black liberation, from South Africa to Brazil, from Central America to Europe, from the urban streets of Minneapolis to Los Angeles, BLACK LIVES MATTER.
